christmas morn 2010

Wow! Aidon and Josh crawled into our bed at 4AM on Christmas morning. Josh fell right back to sleep and Aidon actually stayed up and waited for us all to come out to family room to start our morning!
Loyal father, Pete, got up too and they looked through their stockings that were filled with stuffers from the Suggett clan, while waiting for Josh to wake up...

I can't even remember what time Josh woke up, but I think it was 2-3 hours later, 6AM or 7AM:

Singing Happy Birthday

What better gift than the promise to spend eternity with God in Heaven?

God, the Son, came down from heaven. He entered as a baby, was crucified as an adult, and rose again, proving He was "I AM." He lived a life span, infant to adulthood, and in his sacrifice, He covered our lifetime of sin. So, with God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ; God cleanses us and makes us white as snow as we accept Him as our Savior.

We continued our tradition of enjoying a birthday cake for Jesus on the 25th and singing Happy Birthday: This time, we made sure it was an ice cream cake - the traditional family bday cake.
Happy Birthday to you, Jesus!
Thank you Jesus.

Christmas Eve 2010

We were blessed to continue our Christmas Eve tradition of gathering together at the Concepcion's house. Although Bob & Minda were in our thoughts and prayers, they were enjoying the holiday in the Philippines [only the 4th time they've celebrated Christmas there over the past 50 years]. Marnie and Jason hosted this evening with lots of support from Robin. Missy is faithful to make sure we have yummy desserts!
The Christmas tree was beautifully decorated by Lolo, Lola, Marnie, Jason, Oma, Missy, & Nico in early December The kids' enjoyed playing, eating, and of course being glued to the television before dinner:

A few days before Christmas we planned a family fireside dinner indoors - on a blanket, near the Christmas tree, with a fire, and s'mores for dessert! The boys got really into it, and made a construction paper fire to sit around during dinner:

Josh moves in close just as I snapped this photo! They are both finished with the spaghetti dinner and ready to roast marshmallows:
Enjoying our first round of indoor s'mores:
